Quest Background: Long ago, Brashnard's powerful sphere was smashed into pieces and scattered across the land. It is time to undertake the task of reassembling the great artifact.Objective: recover the shards of Brashnard's Spheres, located in seven sites scattered around the map.
Since you start with two temples of Krolm, train some barbarians right from the start. You'll need them because rust spitters will be attacking very quickly. While you are training barbarians, build a rangers guild and a marketplace near one of the temples. It's important to build marketplaces near the temples because barbarians are rather reluctant to stock up on healing potions, especially if the marketplace is not close to their home.
Against the first wave of rust spitters, you may want to use Rage of Krolm to minimize casualties. Once the first wave is defeated, you can start building up your town. You eventually want to have three marketplaces (built near the temples of Krolm), an elven bungalow, a blacksmith, and another rangers guild. Since you are using barbarians, nothing would benefit more than a strong economy, since rage of Krolm will take 1500 gold for each time of use. Rage of Krolm is increasingly more effective as you have more and more units, so you'll want to have as many heroes as you can.
For the most part, the enemies on this map are not terribly strong so you can take your time. Evil Oculi will be attacking periodically, such as on days 7 and 14, so have 1500 gold ready for R.O.K. One of the main challenges is to explore the map, since your rangers will want to follow your slow-moving barbarians. However, once your economy is strong enough, you will be able to use rage of Krolm nearly continuously, which greatly expedites the process.
Eventually, you should come across and destroy all seven shard sites. Each time you destroy a site, your heroes will be given a powerful item which contains spells or other benefits.
