Northern Expansion Buildings

Outpost

The outpost is like a miniature palace, with peasants, tax collectors, and guards, plus guild space for heroes. When placed on the frontiers, outposts serve as a both a choke point and a center of economic operations. (Requires level 2 palace)

Supplies 2 peasants, 1 tax collector, 2 guards. Supports four heroes without guilds. Equivalent to a level 2 palace for most prerequisites.

Magic Bazaar

The Magic Bazaar is a marketplace for exotic magic items. The items sell quite well to heroes looking for something other than normal marketplace potions. (Requires level 2 palace or Outpost)

Available Items:

Level 1: Tonic of Speed, Fire Balm
Level 2: Potion of Dirgo Strength, Regeneration Elixir
Level 3: Invisibility Brew, Shapeshift Tincture

Sorcerers Adobe

The Sorcerers Adobe is a new house for arcane magic that provides additional, powerful sovereign spells. Spells have unlimited range like temple spells, but are subject to a cool down in between each use. (Requires Magic Bazaar)

Sovereign Spells:

Level 1: Change of Hearts, Frost Field
Level 2: Dismiss, Chain Lightning
Level 3: Gate, Earthquake

Embassy

The Embassy is used to recruit heroes of any class without their appropriate buildings. The embassy allows greater diversity among the roster of heroes, but those arriving at the embassy are of random hero classes and typically require more gold than it would take to recruit them normally. The embassy supports two heroes without guilds - as would be the case for arriving heroes. However, the embassy can be used in conjunction with the outpost, which provides room for four additional heroes. In multiplayer gameplay, the embassy gives access to the line of sights of allies. (Requires level 2 palace or outpost)

Mausoleum

The Mausoleum is a special cemetery that holds 10 deceased heroes to be resurrected at any time, typically at a price higher than what it would take using the resurrection or reanimation spells. Since the concept of Mausoleum borders on dark magic, followers of Agrela and Dauros refuse to be interred at such locations.

Hall of Champions

The temple to Helia is dedicated to the Sun Goddess - the sister and rival of Lunord. Construction of this temple allows the recruitment of her followers the Solarii. (Requires level 3 palace and no temples already built to Krolm or Lunord)
