Rise of the Ratmen

Quest Background: A new king of the Ratman, Rhoden, has risen and is rapidly seeking surface conquest. To stop the invasion, Rhoden must fall.Objective: Destroy all broken sewer mains and kill the Ratman King Rhoden. You will begin with a lot of buildings scattered around the map. It's possible to defend them, but it is probably better to just leave them there to get destroyed as "distraction" for the Ratmen. A good idea is to disable all outlying buildings from your repair and tax routes so that your henchmen will not wander outside too far. It's possible that you'll be under attack right at the beginning, so a quick buildup is needed. The first building you construct should probably be a temple to Dauros or a temple to Dauros. Once you have the temple up, begin training heroes to fight off the Ratmen. When the initial invaders are driven off, it's probably best to place an elven bungalow, a blacksmith and begin upgrading your marketplace. The quest then turns into a defensive routine of building new guilds and recruiting new heroes. Make sure you keep your economy running by building new structures such as inns, rogues guild, upgraded marketplaces, blacksmiths, and magic bazaars. Throughout the quest, there will be waves of invaders arriving right near your palace from underground. Guardhouses generally serve as excellent structures to bog down the Ratmen for your ranged heroes to shoot.Rhoden arrives around day 24, along with waves of Rats and Ratapults. When you've killed him and destroyed the broken sewer maims, the quest is won.
