Walkthrough
To construct a fairground, you'll need to raise your palace to level three and destroy the dark castle for a spell, the latter of which is a criterion unique to this quest. There are few monsters on this map, so the primary goal is to obtain enough gold to advance your technology tree.
Build a rangers guild, marketplace, and an inn. The rangers guild will allow you to recruit rangers that will explore the map and count toward the four-heroes requirement to upgrade your palace. The marketplace and inn will both help you generate gold revenue. The marketplace is especially essential to making gold, as it brings in more revenue than almost all other buildings. The marketplace revenue will also increase with each successive upgrade. In addition, researching healing potions in the marketplace to allow your heroes to purchase potions, which in turn will adds more revenue. Likewise, be sure to research the blacksmith items and upgrade the building.
When you've reached level two, add a rogues and warriors guilds to your town. You'll eventually gain enough gold to reach 12 heroes, which will allow you to upgrade to palace level two. when your rangers discover the dark castle, place an attack flag by double clicking on the castle and setting a reasonable amount of gold reward. Once the castle falls and you have enough gold, build the fairgrounds to complete the quest.
