Quest Background: Three artifacts beyond value: the Magic Bell, the Holy Book, and the Eternal Candle have been stolen and must be retrieved at all costs.Objective: Obtain each of the three items by destroying the respective lairs which holds them them.
Since you begin with a rogues guild, you can already start producing heroes to upgrade your palace. If you prefer, you can also build a rangers guild and recruit rangers as well as rogues. You also begin with two guardhouses, so take advantage of those by placing a market nearby one of them. Since your marketplace is often under attack, it is preferable to have defensive structures like guardhouses nearby. When you advance to level two, you'll be offerred the settlement of the elves and can start constructing a temple. The choices is yours whether or not to build an elven bungalow. Elves bring in extra revenue to your city which is crucial to many missions in the game, although not to this one in particular. As for temples, the Fervus temple is by far the most ideal since there a host of monsters that you can charm using cultists.
When you have a reasonable force, place attack flags on the lairs which contain the items. If you look closely, each of the items that the lair hold also give unique power to heroes that hold them. When you have all three items, you win the quest.
