Animals

From Heroes of Ardania Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Animals are creatures of nature. Certain types of animals, like rats, are found in sewers, whereas other like vargs are found in all nearly open areas. The Giant Rat, in particular, is the weakest creature in Ardania. New heroes rely on their probably ability to defeat giant rats to gain early experience. Animals can generally be charmed by cultists. Beasts are larger cousins to animals.

Forest Spider[edit]

ForestSpider.jpg
The Forest Spider is, as the name suggests, a spider seeking it's solace in a forest. Heavy hunting on this rather dangerous kind of spider made it extinct from the Treldan Woods, making it relative safe to travel close near Valmorgen. This same feat could not be repeated in the Dark Forest though, where the forest itself hampered attempts to hunt the spiders, leading to major casualties amongst the hunters. Here, they began to thrive, spreading over the entire east section of Ardania. Inside the Dark Forest they thrived and multiplied, and they may once again prove a force to be reckoned with over all Ardania if the population isn't maintained by heroes venturing into these woods for fame and glory.

XPs: unknown Gold: 70 Armor: 5 HP: 140
Locations: Dark Forest
Attack Type: Melee
Spells:
none
Abilities:
Poisoned Weapon (5), Regeneration (2), Attack multiple enemies (50), Double Attack (60), Immunity to Poison, Resist Critical Hit

Ice Spider[edit]

IceSpiderPortrait.jpg
The Ice Spider of the Northern Reaches of Ardania is the most dangerous spider known to man, dwarf, elf and gnome-kind alike. They radiate their coldness, which is very hard to resist, if at all. If that wasn't enough, their combat prowess is immense too. Their only weakness is fire and magic. Which gladly keeps this dangerous insect out of most of warmer Ardania.

XPs: unknown Gold: 450 Armor: 0 HP: 400
Locations: Ruins of Gar Uta
Attack Type: Spellcaster & Melee
Other attributes
(specified in-game): unknown
Spells:
Frost Field
Abilities:
Poisoned Weapon (7), Attack Multiple Foes (90), Regeneration (4), Immunity to Poison, Resist Critical Hit, Concealment, Critical Hit (3), Relentless, Triple Strike (20)
Gameplay notes: around 290 Parry and 250 MGR is enough for immunity - possibly lower (Sir Prozous estimates); however, if you get frozen by the ice spider's frost field, you will be unable to parry at all. It has MGR of at least 80, probably ~100. Does up to at least 61 damage each hit. Has high dodge (approximately 190-200) (Veneficus, March 2018)
