How about adding a category for items that can be embedded in socketed items? I know the beard rings category exists but that does not encompass all items that can be embedded. --Xalaz 05:33, 14 May 2007 (EDT)

The only other item other than Beard Rings that can be embedded are emerald trinkets, so I don't think it's necessary to make a new category just to add one more item. --Veneficus 09:06, 14 May 2007 (EDT)

Do I understand correctly that the plan is not to use the 'Items' category for weapons? --Xalaz 02:23, 23 November 2007 (EST)

I have a following propositions about items categories structure. 1) Separate Equipment category for items such as armor, rings, acessories, etc. 2) Separate Combat Aids category for consumables and charges. 3) Move Quest items into Quests category. They are items only by name. Michael 20:13, 6 February 2008 (EST)

3. sounds fine to me. 1 and 2 prob. could stay together, so many consumables aren't in the game to need a seperate category. As for Xalaz original question, with the now sockability of several quivers, accessories and holsters etc. it might be a good idea. Hassat Hunter 08:10, 7 February 2008 (EST)
So, you opinion is to combine 1 and 2 and separate them into special category, as I understand? About items that can be embedded. If there are many of such items, special category for them is good idea. Michael 08:34, 7 February 2008 (EST)
Well... 1 and 2 are already combined now (in items here), which is fine by me. Several items can now be embedded besides beard rings yes, so adding a category:Embeddable items (or something like that) and adding that category to all these items, and make a nice list on that page what can be used with what (Including the Beard Rings table, that is then no longer a seperate entity) sounds like a good idea to me. I think about completely separated Equipment (well, 1 and 2) like Weapons category. Items now have more than 200 entries and it is too many, I suppose. Michael 09:17, 7 February 2008 (EST)
Now that I look at it, none of the "quest items" appear in the general item list, so they are fine where they are (I will add it as subcategory to quests too though). Sure there are over 200 items, but with them in their appropriate subcategories too I doubt it will be too hard to find what one seeks for. Hassat Hunter 09:39, 7 February 2008 (EST)
I agree with Hassat. The number of items is no problem due to the subcategories. Adding a new 'embedded' category seems in order now. Maybe we should make the beard rings a subcategory of the embedded category though. --Xalaz 10:10, 7 February 2008 (EST)
