Before creating or editing a page in the wiki, PLEASE READ THIS PAGE!

To start: If you happen to be as bad at finding things at I am, to edit a page, at the top, there are tabs. One of them is called edit.


Veneficus' Helpful Tips

  • Feel free to test things out in the sandbox or in your User: page.
  • If you are writing something new, try to make the style similar to that of other pages to help maintain consistency among the articles.
  • Use the "show preview" option before saving a page. This will reduce clutter in the "recent changes" page.
  • Always fill the summary text box, and clearly state what you changed. Also, if you only made a minor change, check the "this is a minor edit" check box.
  • Whenever you update a value of an item or spell that isn't stated in the item/spell description in the game, double check your value, and make sure you aren't using something that may affect that value (a potion, a follower, a magic item ect.)
  • You are encouraged to register as a user in the wiki. This will help you, and me track your changes, and will allow you to take credit if you find something new!
  • When posting in talk pages, always use the time stamp signature option (or simply finish your posts with --~~~~ This will translate to a time stamp with your name).
  • Do not redirect a page to a page which redirects to another page.
  • If you feel a page needs further work, mark it so (with the expand/needs research/wikify templates), and add a comment (state what needs work).
  • Many types of articles (items especially) have special templates made to be used for new things of that type. Before making a new page, check to see if there are any templates that you should use on it. The templates save time and help keep everything the same throughout the wiki, as well as saving time when editing.
  • Use the links in the "toolbox" section of the left-hand navigation to help maintain the wiki.
